Nice to meet you

Nice to meet you

Back when I was sixteen, I had a moment when I discovered that I wanted to write for a living. Skip to university, where I ended up studying English literature and creative writing.

So, picture this: I’m at that point in my life where my career is about to start and my mum decides to ask me the classic β€œWhat do you want to do after graduation?” question. I quickly replied with, β€œI’m going to become a fashion writer.” And her response was, β€œno, I mean what’s the realistic plan?” *

I’d be lying if I said it didn’t suck at the time, however, if there is one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’m pretty determined.

Three years later a lot had changed. I was working for a designer fashion retailer as their Head of Copy, I’d created an internationally distributed magazine and achieved my dream of being invited to London Fashion Week.

You may be picking up a theme here… I’m somewhat bullheaded.

Like when I flew back from Mexico, rather than going home to unpack, I hopped on a train and went straight to London for Fashion Week.

Or when I got the keys to our house and immediately organised a military operation to get every room painted before sunset.

Or staying up all night to lay laminate flooring down in my living room – I just can’t stop myself.

Or getting made redundant and rather than getting another job, I went solo.

All of this comes back to that personal trait that fuels both my work and life. It means that I have an unwavering commitment to achieving my client’s goals, overcoming challenges and ensuring our joint success every time.

Once I have a plan, I won’t let much get in the way of it and that’s how I know something is worth pursuing.

*Please note: no mother/daughter relations were harmed in this story.

Why work with me?

When it comes to working with me, it’s about far more than just getting the job done. If you’re curious about why I’m a good choice for your upcoming project, here are a few reasons why you’ll want me on board:

  • Unlike those big agencies or online platforms, I’m just a person (standing in front of a client). That means that I can give your project the undivided attention it deserves. There will also be a cohesive vision that comes from working directly with one person – me.

  • I'll cut straight through the fluff and keep it authentic. It’s so important to keep it real and be transparent with your customers. No fluff, no sleaze – just genuine content that’s filled with your brand’s personality and values.

  • Embarrassingly enough, I can’t touch my toes but I am flexible in other ways. Whether you need a super-quick call or need to change up your brief, I’ve got you covered. I’m always at the end of the phone or an email and happy to adapt to your needs.

  • No need to worry about breaking the bank. As a freelance copywriter and web designer, I’m able to be more budget-friendly than larger companies – so you’ll get top-notch work at a lower price point.

  • I can also spam your email with cute dog photos if requested.
